About Barbara Gordon

Barbara Gordon

After graduating from Green Mountain College in Vermont, the New York School of Interior Design in New York City and taking courses at the Ritins Studio School in Toronto I worked in Toronto painting on furniture and walls (in the good sense). I worked for top decorators as well as designing my own jobs and managed to appear in Canadian House and Home, Select Homes and Food and in Country Living Gardener in the US. Always, while raising my daughter, painting canvases on commission.

My business called B. Gordon Interiors came about in 1997 after returning to the US. Presently I specializing in color consultation. I have found that I am happiest painting for a client and decided that the 9″ x 12″ format is perfect. My joy comes from creating a piece of art that is personal, may be handed down or given as a gift. Many of my paintings on commission reflect, again, on the client … house/estate portraits, pets, favorite views. Landscapes that transport the owner to a place of serenity and reverie are appreciated in homes and executive offices.

My paintings have gone to Europe, the UK, Canada as well as the US and I hope you will feel free to contact me, send me your pictures and thoughts and we can create together.
